The LEADER search and rescue equipment provides technicality and effectiveness to rescue teams during USAR operations.

The LEADER search and rescue equipment range consists of the following complimentary tools: Listening equipment (vibration or seismic detectors, also known as geostereophones), search cameras to view victims, radar movement detectors, or an unstable structure stability monitor to keep specialists safe when working in, or nearby, unstable structures.

All this rescue equipment perfectly reflects the Search and Rescue (SAR) General Operating Procedures.

Leader SEARCH – Seismic listening device communicates with up to 6 seismic sensors (3 wireless and 3 wired). The only wireless victim search equipment! It detects the smallest vibration from a conscious victim: scratching, knocking, voice, etc…. even in the most extreme conditions such as natural disasters.
Leader CAM – Search camera to locate and view victims, but also to communicate with them. This rescue equipment can assess the level of assistance and rescue needed.
Leader HASTY – 2 in 1 device (listening device + search camera) unique worldwide! It was designed for so-called “HASTY SEARCH” methods offering mobility, versatility, and effectiveness to rescuers for rapid and reliable S&R.
Leader SCAN – Radar movement detector It detects the smallest movements, such as respiratory movements of an unconscious buried victim’s chest, or more significant movements.
Leader SENTRY – Stability monitor for unstable structures. This firefighting rescue equipment can be used to secure a working zone where rescuers will be alerted to any movement more significant than a threshold set by the Leader SENTRY. It is a tool dedicated to search and rescue as part of USAR operations and used in firefighter operations.

Thermal Camera Head For Search Camera Tic Head
- Find a victim quicker.
  TIC head (Thermal Imaging Camera) uses infrared sensor to detect and display hottest points of a confined space. Compared to classic search camera with LED light, TIC head instantly pinpoints the victim's body heat.USAR team knows where to look for and then they can use classic day light camera.
- 3 image modes
  3 color modes are available and can be switched to help viewing and understand what is going on in the rubble pile. They are: Black hot, White hot, Search (multicolor)
- Use of infrared sensor
  The thermal camera head brings great support to SAR teams for technical search of victims. Indeed, IR sensor "detects" the temperature differences of the observed scene and can reveal body shapes even in tricky rubble areas or with dust on body that visually hide the victim. TIC head helps concentrate on the victim search.

- Use of remote search camera
  A cable extension of 82 ft increases the distance between the control box and the camera head to lower the camera at the end of the cable or simply allow a greater flexibility of search between pairs in the field: One operates the camera remotely in several places thanks to the long cable and the other focuses on the screen without moving to visualise what is pointed by the camera.
- Orange anti-abrasion cable
  The cable is made with a very strong coating to avoid any risk of breaking, tearing or being cut. Orange cable to be easily seen.

- To extend the search distance with a search camera
  The 90 m extension cable on the reel allows the use of a search camera at a greater distance from the control box and allows vertical inspections by lowering the camera at the end of the cable (e.g. vertical descent in a deep cavity such as a well). The reel can be coupled to a second reel of 295' to propose a length of 590'. A 1st pair can move away from the control box with the camera to inspect the surrounding cavities while the other pair focuses on the screen without moving.
- Orange anti-abrasion cable
  The high-strength coating of the cable makes it resist tears, cuts, friction, etc. The orange color is a guarantee of visibility.

Life Detector Camera Leader Cam
Combines camera and microphone/loudspeaker to assess the level of help that buried victims require.
- Compact
  Leader CAM features a lightweight control box with an optimum screen size for USAR operations.
- Priority to the image
  All features are designed to avoid concealing the least possible part of the image captured by the camera: Image displayed on the entire screen and help icons for discrete device management.
- Very light telescopic pole

  Leader battery is compatible and interchangeable with all products in Leader USAR range: Hasty, Cam, Search and Scan.
- Lithium Ion Polymer Battery
  Leader battery consists of 4 Lithium Ion Polymer cells. Its 37 Wh allows it unrestricted air transport. It is only necessary to inform the carrier.

  The battery is protected against dust and jets of water from different directions, such as in rain operations.

Disconnectable articulated camera on reel with 295' or 590' of cable
- Articulated and disconnectable
  R90 camera has a flexible articulated head that absorbs shock allowing a movement of 170° and a field of vision of 260°. For the new generation with disconnectable pole, the camera head can be disconnected from its pole to be used with the reel.
- Integrated communication and illumination system
  The head is equipped with a microphone and a loudspeaker to help the communication victim-rescuers. It also has 8 levels of illumination at the end of its head to light up dark places.
- Push to talk
  The communication system on the control box is of the "Push to talk" type. The helmet microphone is activated by pressing the button on the control box.
- 90 m or 180 m cable options

  RD90 camera can be immersed in water up to 295' deep.
- Used for recognition actions in deep and flooded cavities
  RD90 camera head waterproofing allows it to be used for recognition actions in deep flooded environments. It can be lowered in wells, caves, crevices or under water for all types of inspections by divers (e.g. boat hull, shipwreck, etc.) up to 295' below the water level.

Camera and search device for buried victims: LOCATE, DETECT and SAVE with one tool!
- 2-in-1 equipment ideal for USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) operations
  Leader HASTY combines the functions of seismic detection (listening device) + visual search (camera) for finding trapped victims under rubble in a confined space.
- Wireless seismic sensors
