    TIC head (Thermal Imaging Camera) uses infrared sensor to detect and display hottest points of a confined space. Compared to classic search camera with LED light, TIC head instantly pinpoints the victim’s body heat.USAR team knows where to look for and then they can use classic day light camera.
  • 3 image modes
    3 color modes are available and can be switched to help viewing and understand what is going on in the rubble pile. They are: Black hot, White hot, Search (multicolor)
  • Use of infrared sensor
    The thermal camera head brings great support to SAR teams for technical search of victims. Indeed, IR sensor “detects” the temperature differences of the observed scene and can reveal body shapes even in tricky rubble areas or with dust on body that visually hide the victim. TIC head helps concentrate on the victim search.

The thermal head is an option for following equipment: Leader CAM search camera and Leader HASTY combining listening and camera modes.

USAR applications are various Reconnaissances, Dark confined spaces, Dusty environments, Smoky areas, etc…

Advantage of thermal vision is that body heat is seen. This is not the case with infrared LED technology that only illuminate an area with infrared and that a second combined normal CCD camera captures to display.

The TIC head is disconnectable and replaces CCD normal vision head when wanted. They are plug and play : Image is displayed as soon as head is connected.

Detachable TIC head contains a 160×120 resolution sensor with germanium optic and offers 2 sizes of displayed image: 160x120px & 320x240px (image enlarged).

Another advantage is that it is a 8,8 Hz frequency sensor so Dual Use license is not needed.

it is lightweight, robust, IP67 (with cap) and has 170° mechanical orientation (85° left 85° right) and has 226° field of view.
