SEISMIC SENSORS: Precise Victim Detection with Maximum Safety

Our Seismic Sensors are cutting-edge, ultra-sensitive listening devices designed to detect and locate victims buried under rubble following structural collapse or disaster. Engineered for Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) operations, these seismic sensors are critical during the technical search phase, helping teams locate survivors through vibration detection.

Safety-Focused, Field-Ready Design

Compact and lightweight (1.5lbs), SEARCH sensors are IP67-rated for water and dust resistance, making them reliable in harsh environments. A flexible antenna ensures stable connectivity, while an LED indicator confirms proper connection to the control box from a distance. A durable carrying strap enhances portability and ease of deployment in active search zones.

Wireless and Cabled Versions

Both versions deliver the same high-performance seismic detection:

  • Wireless Sensors: Cable-free for rapid deployment, especially in rubble-filled areas. Range: up to 300-feet line-of-sight, ~98-feet in obstructed conditions. Runtime: 8 hours. Up to 3 sensors can be connected simultaneously.

Advanced Seismic Detection

When a victim moves, taps, or calls out, their vibrations travel through debris and structural materials. Sensors detect these signals and send them to the control box, where rescuers can listen via headset and visually monitor signals using the integrated display. This dual-audio and visual interface enhances precision and safety during rescue operations.

Flexible Compatibility

  • Wireless Sensors: Compatible with both MULTI-APP and MONO-APP control boxes (e.g., MULTISEARCH, CAM MS, SEARCH MS, HASTY MS, SCAN MS).

With unmatched sensitivity, rugged design, and seamless integration into our USAR systems, Seismic Sensors empower rescue teams to work quickly and safely - reinforcing Tempest's leadership in search and rescue technology.
