Life / victim detector
The LEADER life detectors use two technologies:
Seismic and Radar.
Leader SEARCH and Leader HASTY include seismic sensors able to detect the smallest vibration to locate live victims.
The Leader SCAN has a radar sensor Ultra-Wideband (UWB) detector) able to detect movements through various types of material.
Our buried victim search equipment is trusted to be in use during USAR operations after significant incidents such as an urban explosion (gas, attack, etc.) or natural disasters (earthquakes, tremors, etc.) to locate victims trapped in collapsed buildings.
These victim search detectors can detect life and locate injured victims trapped in collapsed buildings or under the rubble :
Leader SEARCH is a seismic detector with up to 3 wired seismic sensors combined with 3 wireless seismic sensors.
Leader HASTY, a 2-in-1 device, combines a victim location camera with three wireless seismic sensors to alternate between detection and visual location.
The Leader SEARCH and Leader HASTY are geostereophones detecting vibrations passing through rocks, soil, or ice.
They allow rapid detection for filtration at major SAR sites (line search method, for example).
Leader SEARCH and Leader HASTY are the only listening devices using wireless technology.
The wireless seismic technology alloy for quick deployment, work efficiently, and provide greater balance to the seismic sensor holder and therefore, greater security.
Leader SCAN, a radar detector, can be used to detect the movements of a victim through concrete sheets, brick walls, piles of rubble, etc. It can be used to detect breathing (movements of the chest) and larger movements.
Leader SCAN uses a UWB detector, a wireless radar sensor that generates electromagnetic waves (UWB waves – Ultra Wideband), which can be used to “see” through walls and rubble to determine the victim’s distance. These victim search devices accelerate victim SAR and are a crucial part of the SAR General Operating Procedures.
